A walking tour among churches, frescoes and spirituality
An itinerary that brings together places of worship, works of art and centuries-old traditions, guiding visitors on a journey through faith, history and culture.
This itinerary takes the visitor from the historic center of Moresco to places of worship that tell centuries of faith and tradition. The first stop is theformer Church of Santa Sofia, now converted into a small theater that still preserves valuable 15th-century frescoes. Continue to the Church of Santa Maria dell’Olmo, built in the 16th century to house the famous votive shrine frescoed by Vincenzo Pagani, an artistic testimony that combines sacred art and local history.
Finally, the route reaches the striking Sanctuary of the Madonna della Salute, an octagonal temple with an oriental dome, built according to tradition as early as the 9th century and still a place of devotion. Amid rural panoramas, regenerating silences and architecture that speaks of spirituality, the itinerary offers an intense and contemplative experience, ideal to be enjoyed on foot for a slow walk or by e-bike, pedaling through the districts that connect the different sacred places.
