The first floor of the Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall), renovated in the early 20th century, now houses the Pinacoteca Civica (Public Art Galery), a space that preserves valuable artistic local works. Access is through an elegant corridor, embellished with refined Art Nouveau decorations on its ceiling, leading to the council chamber, which has been converted into an art gallery.
Among the most significant works is the monumental panel painting from 1529 by Vincenzo Pagani, depicting the Madonna in Glory with Child and Saints Lawrence, Roch, Sophia, and Nicholas of Bari. Next to it is a canvas with St. Sophia, from the church of the same name, along with works by anonymous artists that further enrich the exhibition.
The art gallery thus serves as meeting place of art, history and spirituality, capable of reflecting the cultural identity of the local community.
